Astro Boy VCD Vinyl Collectible Doll by BAPE x Medicom

Whether you call him Astro Boy or Mighty Atom, there's no disputing the fact that Osamu Tezuka's futuristic take on Pinocchio is one of the most iconic pieces of Japanese pop culture ever created. In a slightly meta move, A Bathing Ape are putting their own twist on Astro Boy with their simplified but chibi style of their Baby Milo mascot. Speaking of, the super cute monkey comes paired with the Astro Boy figure. Dubbed Dr. Milo, he's standing in for Professor Ochanomizu, Astro's father figure. Check out the details on Medicom's website and we'll keep you posted if a Western release happens.

OK, to be honest, I don't get the hype. Every year, Japanese fashion brand UNDERCOVER teams up with Medicom to produce a new variant of their GILAPPLE light. It's a small, realistic-looking apple with an old-timey car headlight wedged into its core.
