If you have not heard the heavyhearted news, the art community recently lost an amazing member. The lovely Los Angeles painter, T.S. Claire – also known as TFail – passed away on March 9th from her fight with brain cancer. Her work was unique, inspiring, and possessed a strong voice of female empowerment.
To keep her legacy going, Serio Press is releasing prints of her most recent work today – March 21st, 2016 – at 12 pm PST in their web store. Based off of three 24" x 24" paintings, these prints are from Claire's last show – Heroine – that showed in July 2015. The Vaya Triptych prints are 12"x12", printed on Yupo Translucent 153 gsm" to replicated the frosty appearance of the original paintings, with an edition of 100. Individual prints will be sold for $50 and the set of three will be sold for $120.
There will be one final show of her unshown work next month in Hollywood that will also serve as an open wake. Some of her originals are still for sale at her bigcartel and several t-shirt designs are still available at Arena Merch. I have always been a huge fan of Claire and am saddened that there will not be more beautiful creations from her in the future. As her fiance Dereck Seltzer stated so eloquently, "Honor her life by doing as she done, loving, creating and caring with an open heart – giving 100% of yourself to all and everything that you believe in no matter what the consequences may be."
In loving memory of TS Claire 1984-2016
