Hello Kitty & 99 Friends at PIQ Grand Central Roundup

Last weekend was the opening of Hello Kitty & 99 Friends at PIQ Grand Central Terminal and I was really excited to see everything. It always seems that the majority of Hello Kitty events are on the west coast. Hello Kitty and 99 Friends did not disappoint! This exhibit included new works from 100 artists, many of them paintings as well as some customs and sculptures all in different styles. Some pieces were super cute while others showed more of that artists' interpretation of their Sanrio character. No matter what I was blown away by all the talent!

There were so many works on display throughout the store that I even missed some pieces and went back to see them all. Some of the participating artists were at the opening reception as well. There were even some people that travelled all the way from Florida! It was such a cute night. Even the refreshments offered during the reception show were adorable!

Check out the gallery below to see opening night at PIQ. As you can see, there was a lot to view. There's still some works available for purchase, but at the time of this post being written, it looks like you'll have to contact PIQ Grand Central Terminal directly on how to buy them. Be sure to also check out the #PIQHK99 hashtag on Instagram and Twitter for more photos of the show! The show will be up until May 14, 2016, if you want to check out the exhibit in person.
