Dear lord, it's actually happening. The live action Ghost in the Shell adaptation featuring Scarlett Johansson went into production in February and they've got a photo to prove it. Check out the photo above featuring ScarJo as Major Kusanagi. I feel like the hair could have been a bit more stylized, but it's not like we should expect a majorly faithful interpretation of the characters or story of the original manga or anime. Does anyone actually think this is going to be good? I've got more faith in Blade Runner 2 at this point, which isn't saying much.
