After 8 years at their Los Angeles location, Johnny Cupcakes will be closing their doors this Saturday. Johnny Earle, the owner of the brand, announced earlier this year that he wanted to wanted to change the focus of the company in lieu of personal events. Changing the focus, as per Earle, includes closing some of his stores and the shop on Melrose Ave appears to be the first to go.
But the store won't be going quietly. There will be 8 new t-shirts available exclusively in store on Saturday, all the shirts will be paying tribute to California with the Johnny Cupcakes twist and limited to 100 each.
