In just a few weeks, Japanese artist Konatsu will be touching down in NYC for a solo exhibition at myplasticheart, and we finally have the details! On Friday, September 16, the show will open at 7PM with Konatsu in attendance. She'll start a live painting session at 8PM and will have a meet & greet at 9PM (signatures only, no sketches). The following day at 2PM, the first 20 visitors will receive sketches. Negora, Daioh Negora, Shibara, and Mamera sofubi toys will be available to purchase, some of the being hand-painted by Konatsu herself. Paintings will also be on sale, as will Konatsu-branded accessories. Can't make it to the opening weekend? No sweat. Her work will be on display until October 16. I don't know about you, but I think I'm about to buy a bus ticket down to NYC!
