This evening Super 7 finally gave the official announcement a toy sooooo big it warrants its own subdomain!! www.starwars.super7store.com. We've all seen the pics of the Super Shogun Stormtrooper that Brian has been teasing us with for months via Twitter but this is the final reveal of the massive 24" tall figure.

This figure just looks awesome, its one of those toys where you really get a sense of the love that the people making it have for the subject matter. I reckon any other company would have done a lesser job. Well off hand i can't think of a company that has as much love for Star Wars and Japanse Toys as Super 7. And with more Star Wars collabs on the way i can't wait to see what they have their sleeves.

I dont have a spare $300 + prob another $100 for the shipping to the UK. But if i did i would gladly spend it on this fella. Oh yeah and it fires its wrists like a missile too.... hmmm let me just check my bank balance.....

'Children growing up in the 70s and 80s had their lives touched by two pop culture phenomena: the Star Wars saga and Jumbo Machinder toys (marketed in the US as Shogun Warriors). Acclaimed toy design firm Super7 has combined characters with the towering Japanese Super Robot aesthetic to create a collectible that could only have been imagined in the past. This marks the first authentic Super Shogun produced in over twenty-five years.'

'Utilizing the same techniques implemented by Japanese toy manufacturers in the 1970s, the Super Shogun is constructed from durable, blow-molded polyethylene with a painted vinyl helmet. The figure is articulated at the neck and shoulders, and includes a removable, highly-detailed BlasTech E-11 laser blaster. The blaster even features a posable stock that unfolds from below the barrel.'

I can abide by these Jawas! Tatooine's little hoodlums have been turned into Flatties by Flat Bonnie and will be available at NYCC, courtesy of DKE Toys. The 12 inch tall plushies are handmade and come with the Jawas' signature attire.

Heck, yeah. I don't usually stay up to date on comic books, but I'm pumped to hear that one of my favorite artists is heading up the art for the Star Wars: Poe Dameron comic series.
