Popped by to see this show last night and catch up with Sichi again as it has been a while. The new space at Bodhi looks really good (when it's eventually finished!!)...the upstairs has a new bar space and new lightining.

Downstairs things have really changed with the whole space opened up into a single large room, which works much better as a show space. Sadly the Manga library is no more, however the cocktails rule.

As for the Sparks show...I could only remember 2 of their songs so a lot of it went over my head but it's worth a look if your in the area if only for the weird and wonderful merchandise.

Japanese giant robot designs seem to lend themselves well towards sneakers. But while anime publishers are happy to churn out mugs, keychains, and mousepads with their mechas on them, they rarely seem to license anything to sneaker companies.

If the regular 7cm Mazinger Z Be@rbrick 100% just isn't enough vinyl for you, Medicom are about to rocket punch you in the face with a 400% version of the bear-ified mecha. This homage to one of Japan's most loved giant robots will stand 28cm high.

Nick (Trust Pigs) Curtis and I were just discussing M.U.S.C.L.E figures. He remembers them as a kid, however my first real exposure to them (being a British Girl) was this T.V show Ultimate Muscle, which I don't think I saw until I was about 19.
