Last night saw the opening of Shinganist, a group show of Japanese art curated by Usugrow (pictued above with beer!). To conicide with a book release of the same name Usugrow got all the contributors together for this show - Mozyskey, Toshikazu Nozaka, Bene and Jun Kaneko. Visitors got to chat to each artist - and talk about their work and inspirations.
Each artist had a number of works - all for sale - while Stolenspace had signed copies of the book for only £35. Trust me when you see the signatures it's worth the price, let alone the artwork inside. The show itself is stunning, showcasing each artists work from Usugrow's well know pen and ink work to Kaneko and Bene's more abstract style and through to Nozaka's new take on traditional themes and imagery. If you're in London make sure you drop by to take a look.
