Fearless Ed was created by Alex the Fshizz for Fixed Gear magazine, PEDAL PROJECT, with the topic of two wheels. I just thought this little dude was too cute and he’s got a background story! Read it and weep.

Fearless Ed was known to the most confident animal in the forest, everybody knew him. Ed’s day consisted of food and showing off, he always had to be the center of attention. A lot of the other forest animals got really sick of Ed being so egocentric. So after a while the other animals didn’t care about Ed anymore. One day a new road was built near the forest, but nobody had the courage to cross it. This was Ed’s chance to get the attention from his peirs that he was longing for. So he announced that he would be the first to cross it. Ed observed the road for a week or two and figured most of the traffic is during the day, and it is easier to see cars coming at night, so he decided to cross this feared street at midnight. Ed, looked to his right, and to his left, and saw no cars and no lights, so he decided to make his move. Suddenly he felt it, immediately Ed couldn’t move his left paw and couldn’t feel his legs. The reason? He had been cut into 5 pieces by two pedal project bikes, They had no lights and were so fast and silent that he didn’t even realize they were coming.

Sadly that was the end of Fearless Ed.
