Incoming from KAWS and Medicom Toy in Yellow and Black variants is this figure....called various names including Sobokun and based loosely on the Tokyo Police mascot "PiPo". Edit: Was released today and is now sold out

...hmmm kinda screwed this up by having an "ugly" post before. Damn. Anyhow the annual trawl of websites looking at SDCC previews and releases is in full swing and so far i've been pleasently surprised by some of the incoming vinyl. The biggest of these was on the ToyTokyo stand where they showed two variants on Brian Taylor's vinyl figure. Loving the retro vibe on this...lets pray it actually...

A while back...maybe almost 2 years ago David Horvath showed some prototype little Ugly vinyl figures similar in look to the bottle toppers that he did for Japan. Then it all went quiet. But now, via his blog, David's revealed that the mini line is coming and is due out around December. These will come out only in the colours seen on the plush...hence the yellow and green (OG) Jeero's, purple...

Yesterday I was surfing the web and saw this Itokin Park Mikazukin on One-up's online store... tried to search my brain for a way to order from them but could not come up with a fast solution.... No surprise that they are sold out today!! Gutted!

So the annual Mercury Music Prize shortlist has been announced of the 'best' albums of the last year with the usual mix of random folk and jazz albums and the mainstream. Radiohead's album wasn't bad but really it has to Burial winning it, even if it's his worst album to date.

We're big fans on ToyQube here at Clutter and the Sharky toy was a great edition to the roster. Now Keith and Nemo (who sculpted this piece) have unleashed the prototype shots of the new Hammerhead piece. This guy has a real presence and looks mean as hell being tooled up with a knife and hook - hopefully we'll see some basic versions and artist editions in the future.
