The name Eelus might not be immediately recognized by all but chances are if you wander over to his website then you'll notice something you've seen before; in his ten year graphic artist career, he's designed many an iconic image as well as been exhibited alongside the likes of Banksy, D*Face, Eine, Tim Biskup, and Shepard Fairey. For his newest solo show, "Curious," he's experimented not only in a new medium but also with a new style: paper cut-outs that explore the fantastic witin the natural world, the workings of the human body, and wonders that defy any explanation at all. These themes harken back to the 16th-Century Curiosity Cabinets that inspired the works in the show, as reflected through the lens of brilliant designer.

Eelus's "Curious" opens on June 1st at 6PM with the artist in attendance for the reception. The exhibit will remain available for viewing throughout the month at The Black Book Gallery, 555 Santa Fe Dr., Denver, CO 80204. Those unable to attend can sign up for the gallery's show specific preview list. A couple of limited edition Eelus prints will be released as part of this exhibition.

All images are details and not full pictures of the work.
