"How many feathers has a purdue chicken? How many fibres are intertwinned on a Shredded Wheat biscuit? How many times did the Batmobile catch a flat?"

Those quotes were a massive part of my childhood as the gameshow intro from Al on the De La Soul album "3 Feet High and Rising". I love the album so much I re-purchased it to get the second bonus CD a few years back simply for the "Eye know" extended mix after i'd worn my vinyl copy of the single out!

20 years on from that landmark in hip hop comes this 3-pack from Kidrobot of 3-inch figures due for release on March 18. Now I don't really know how to blog these without being critical, as it's linked to something I truly, deeply love so whatever they tried it probably wouldn't have met my expectations. So i'll say for 3 inch figures $50 for 3 isn't a bad price. I do like the way they've captured the hair in such a stylised way too

But other than that, is this really the best KR could do to 'celebrate' the album? Some weird Happy Meal-esque figures (IMO they're way too small) that look as if they're made from rejected Peecol figure parts, Dunny arms and topped with a weird nose sculpt?

Sadly, this is more a case of "3 inches high and failing".
