Another Awesome night of Comedy tongiht! Five awesome comedians, a theramin, a disappointed front row, and a suprise set rounded out the night at Esther's Follies on 6th. First I'll tell you who the five comics on the list where... and then Ill suprise you at the end with the special guest. so you can kind of reenact what we went through. Yay roleplaying!
First Up and Hosting was Shane Mauss, Who was just hilarious and the kind of wrong that was right.
He mentioned living in Austin now, if that's the case, I will be attending a set whenever I can.

Then Doug Benson came on. Doug is an amazing fluke of a human being. He has the amazing superpower of looking and probably actually being totally wasted. Which is a big part of Doug's act. If you havent seen Super High Me, it's a Documentery like supersize me where he's high for 30 days. Doug's most funny when he's actully fucking up or breaking his routine. You can't help but follow his messed up train of thought and laugh the second he breaks his joke and laughs himself.
Next was Thomas Lennon who you may know from Reno 911 (LT.Dangle) and about a billion other things. He ad-libbed a Stevie Ray song about his spilt beer and it was amazing. His set on a whole was smart and funny and its easy to understand his fame. His Bit about things he want google to alert him of, genius. I cant remember exactly but it was along the lines of, Google alert me if, "Tom Lennon's Genitals Torn apart by Chimps". (I secretly hope this triggers it)
Next We had Chris Hardwick, which you may have seen me talk about yesterday in the Nerdist post. Chris' set is nerdier than the rest but that makes it so good. Video games and superhero references littered between dirty jokes. What's not to like. Hardwick's quickness with the crowd truly made me amazed at how fast he is when it comes to the funny.
And Suprise, not-billed, random guest, Aziz Ansari! Awesome! If your unfamilair with Aziz, Im amazed because this guy has been everywhere these days. Aziz's set was short and sweet but you can't help but quote his comedy.
