Italy's Moneyless and Scotland's Mark Lyken have done a collaborative project in and around Glasgow, Scotland called Forms And Spaces. The second part of the project will happen in Italy during the month of October. Recoat Gallery spent a week with Moneyless & Mark helping them with the project and taking wonderful pictures.
As you can see, Forms and Spaces includes sculpture as well as painting.
The results of this collaboration are amazing. The precision of Moneyless combined with Mark Lyken's chaos makes me think of the endless possibilities of what surrounds us. I'm not pretending to be an art critic or that I'm an authority on anything on any level, I'm just saying that these pieces made me think about the concepts of time and space.
Here are some detailed shots.
Moneyless' work started as traditional graffiti, but as his work evolved he became obsessed with the simplicity of geometric shapes and structure. He'll be in Los Angeles later this year creating a solo show for the Soze Gallery.
Mark Lyken lives and works as a Visual Artist and Musician in Glasgow, Scotland. His paintings "toy with scale and time, worlds within worlds, chemical universes at a microscopic level."
He has completed two Solo Shows this year in Glasgow and Bristol and has new work in the Break State and Futurism 2.0 shows later in the year .
