Time for more musical appreciation!

This time in the slightly grumpy form of the greatest living producer of guitar-based music - Steve "microphone obssesive" Albini. Don't believe me?

He's a founder member of Big Black and now fronts Shellac. He writes amusing letters to newspapers about music.
Then there's the production work: Nirvana (Bleach/In Utero), Pixies (Surfer Rosa), PJ Harvey (Rid of Me), Low (things we lost in the fire), plus Mogwai, The Auteurs, The Breeders, Fugazi, Slint, Joanna Newsom, Gogol Bordello.

You know I speak the truth.

If anything, Every Time I Die are a punctual band. You can expect a new album from them every other year, with several tours in between.

Hands down, Twin Peaks has the best score - and intro song - in the history of television. The only non-download way for fans to listen to the OST is a CD from the early '90s when CD audio compression wasn't so hot. (Don't get me wrong.

You've got to hand it to them. The boys in Every Time I Die are extremely reliable, having put out a new album every two years since 2001, save for a single three-year gap.
