Meant to blog about this a while back when my Yod and book turned up from the Amos store. This is a must-have for Jarvis fans but will also interest people into illustration in general as it has some stunning pages.

I like that they've scanned the images direct, no touch ups, so you can see the evolution of ideas such as Yod, Mr Vortigern and other characters. You can also see the mistakes and general doodles which give a nice sense of how James' style has evolved and matured.

Great to see pages dedicated to the "pet sounds" illustrations and as an added bonus there's even a few pages of vegetables. Winner!

James Jarvis is a name you don't hear too often anymore in the world of designer toys. And while this isn't exactly a designer toy, it's close enough for me. Case Studyo have teamed up with one of the fathers of Western vinyl for a new ceramic piece titled AMPHORA.
