Saturday night saw the opening of the Gary Baseman curated show, True Self at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York. Gary brought together some of the scenes top talent to show paintings, tapestries and my favourite a giant Skull mirror (see picture below - if only I had a spare $7500 it would be in my loft right now!!)
'Imagineer' by Lola
This painting titled 'Self Portrait as a Different Girl' by Gretchen Ryan was truly mesmerising.
This tapestryesque piece called 'Dog eat dog' by Orly Cogan was another highlight of the show. Definitely a piece that stood out!!
My fave - 'Dudeleplex' by Adam Wallacavage.
The show runs until the 21st of November so if your in the NY area i recommend taking a trip in!
