Everybody has seen those traditional porcelain figurines that your grandmother most likely collected. Usually of a pair of cheek to cheek angels or a slender oddly painted cat. Now artist Jessica Harrison has taken those dainty little pieces and given them a much darker aesthetic. Welcome to gore-celain, violent and bloody artworks of traditional ceramic ladies and I can't get enough of it! This is some of the most metal porcelain i have seen.

I think this one is my favorite although its hard to choose.

I think this girl was on the event horizon. do you see? DO YOU SEE?

You can check out a full interview with Jessica Harrison over at http://www.dontpaniconline.com/magazine/arts/visceral-beauty or check out more of her beautiful work at http://www.jessicaharrison.co.uk/

James Jarvis is a name you don't hear too often anymore in the world of designer toys. And while this isn't exactly a designer toy, it's close enough for me. Case Studyo have teamed up with one of the fathers of Western vinyl for a new ceramic piece titled AMPHORA.
