A recent installment of Kidrobot's "Studio Snaps" had the intrepid Jed and Valerie visiting the San Francisco-based studio of Huck Gee. Bear in mind, this visit actually occurred in January of this year so some of this work-in-progress items have already been released… though, strangely, quite a few of the work-in-progress pieces were released in late 2011, so make of that what you will. Pictured above is one each of the Bronze and Silver Skullheads issued from Fully Visual.

In the left side photo, there are what appear to be a couple of work-in-progress customs: "Pit Fighter Nibbles" and "The Golden Claw." Of course, "Pit Fighter Nibbles" was released back in 2010 so there is no reason that Gee should've been working on one in January of this year… unless there is a new incarnation of Nibbles in the work for the near future. And "The Golden Claw" Dunny design was released as part of "The Gold Life" production series, but I don't recall there ever being a custom version; could this be a teaser of what's to come? On the right hand side, we have a stack of Skullendario Azteca banners and, taped to the back wall, a design sheet for the "Not So Glorious Soaring Hatchet Munk."

And, of course, there's Mr. Huck Gee himself, holding one of the infamous mis-colored factory reject copies of his Kidrobot 10 figure: The Ugly. The right-hand side photo shows the top of one of Gee's display cases, which is adorned with a variety of DIY Blank figures next to a massive Skullhead cut-out.

A view of Gee's drawing table, showing off some of the designs he's been working on. It's difficult to make out the details, unfortunately, but I think I can spot the bushy tail of Raku and the tan colored paper at the top appears to be a city shot of Gee's fantastical fictionalized Japan.

The work-in-progress custom Munny on the left has been barely begun, making it hard to determine what it shall be, but that fin-shaped hairline on the head makes me believe it is one of The Seven Samurai unique pieces Gee created for a collector. On the right we have what must be Gee's Puto nook: the red Aswang Puto, the Barrelman Puto and the black Aswang Puto!

Amidst an array of Gee designed production figures, taking center stage in this photograph, is Custom Huck Gee Tribute piece created by Cassidy "agg" Sanders back in 2007. Gee was so taken with this custom, that he did a one-for-one trade with Sanders for it!

A beautiful circular Skullhead floormat, next to a work-in-progress for one of the four Turret Elephant customs Gee created. And not only can you see the elephant, but in-front of it are the rockets that snuggly fit in the rear to round out the design.

On the left, Gee has hung one of his Falling skate decks like a proper work of art… though it appears to be upside down, giving the impression of rising rather than falling. As for the work-in-progress motorcycle custom on the right, I haven't seen anything like this released by Gee yet… another sneak of things to come?

The raw parts to Gee's one-off The Rhino Poacher custom are shown strewn on a table, while — to close out this article — is a picture of Gee, busy at work, keeping us rabid fans happy!
