Tonight Stranger Factory opens Migration, the latest collaborative exhibit by Chris Ryniak & Amanda Louise Spayd. The exhibit features the plush sculptures, drawings, very small runs of editioned resin figures, mixed media paintings and sketches from both Amanda & Chris alone and on collaborative pieces.

"Packing their belongings and moving on at the turn of the season, Amanda Spayd's hapless bunnies highlight the natural transition of life, and the shedding of detritus as we move from one phase to another. "

"Occupying the world just out of our peripheral vision, Chris Ryniak's creatures travel through the underbrush in Migration and happily search for the shared meanings in their lives and ours."

Opening reception for Migration will be on Friday, March 1st from 6-9PM at Stranger Factory in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Stranger Factory will also be hosting workshops by both Chris and Amanda. Amanda's workshop on Antiquing & Distressing is full, but there are a few spots left for Chris' Drawing Expressive Characters. Chris's workshop will be held on Sunday, March 3rd from 3 - 5 PM and spots cost $60. You can reserve your spot by contacting Stranger Factory at strangerfactorysales@gmail.com ASAP. Spots are filling up quickly!
