While more people might be familiar with the call "Avengers Assemble," Designer Toy fans might soon learn to love the phrase "Artists Assemble!" The title of an upcoming exhibition at Toy Art Gallery, in association with 3Coconut Monkey and Stan Lee's POW Entertainment, "Artists Assemble!" brings together a massive list of talented customizers, each tackling Stan Lee's "Yo!" DIY vinyl figure in their own unique ways. Over 50 artsts contributed pieces, making their own heroes and villains, including: Abe Lincoln Jr., Aeron Alfrey, Ardabus Rubber, Bert S. But that's not all! Proceeds from the show’s customs will benefit the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious scholarship and recognition program for creative teens, run by the non-profit Alliance for Young Artists and Writers.
