Considering this piece is truly worthy of it's own post, here he is in the flesh, Ashley Wood's Bertie (World War Robot) from Bigshot Toyworks. I was lucky enough to snag one of the 6 lotteried off at NYCC and he has quickly stolen my heart with his incredible weapons, accessories (that include a bag of heads and rope) and attention to detail bordering on obsessive compulsive disorder.

Close up of rust paint detail.

Bertie has 3 points of articulation for each finger. Note the ease with which he holds up the lovely head of his latest victim. Beautiful job.
