Dropping into my Inbox is news of Joe Ledbetter's upcoming book release. Published by Nerdcore, and the first in a promised series of artist books, it's a raw collection of Joe's drawings nearly all of which will be familiar now as paintings, prints and vinyl figures.

I like that they've not bothered touching it up or over-complicating the layout, just pure sketches, smudges and who knows maybe even a coffee cup ring or two. It's also interesting to see the creative process from the initial drawings of Mr Bunny and comparing it to the very different end product. There also looks to be a wide variety of material from rough paintings, sketches for toys, concepts, pure illustration and assorted doodles. It's also got a killer price of just $25 plus shipping for 184 pages!

As if that wasn't enough if you pre-order now (in time for release in October) you may get a little extra. 100 hand silk-screened, signed and numbered 6x8 inch prints (pictured below) will be randomly inserted into pre-orders. These prints are an online exclusive and only available for customers who pre-order before September 1, 2008. Not to be missed!
