When an artist can pull you into a scene like Shintaro Ohata can, I believe they can be called a master. I'm in love with how perfectly he has brought 2d paintings and 3d sculpture together in harmony. This could easily be jarring in the hands of a less talented artist but the way the sculptures invoke the painterly look is magical. Japanese Artist, Shintaro Ohata's focus for this set was to capture the light and the beauty in everyday life.
"Every ordinary scenery in our daily lives, such as the rising sun, the beauty of a sunset or a glittering road paved with asphalt on a rainy night, becomes something irreplaceable if we think we wouldnât be able to see them anymore," he told Yukari gallery. "I am creating works to capture lights in our everyday life and record them in the painting.â
