We'd like to introduce to you new girl on the block, the Scottish artist Lisa Rae Hansen. Lisa's pretty new to the Art Toy world, but she has been participating in custom shows in the last year. Like a lot of artists, her work isn't based exclusively in toys but in character driven art. Today, however, we're going to talk about her Heavy Metal Qee, Iron Maiden Plus Special Guest MegaSeth. And just in case you missed it the first time round, click here to read more about the London based show that we talked about recently.

"Heavy Metal Qee Presents...Iron Maiden Plus Special Guest MegaSeth"

This 8-inch Dog Qee has been customised into a Russian-Doll-inspired torture chamber.  Open the Iron Maiden's magnetic doors and entombed within you'll find MegaSeth, a 4-inch, original hand-sculpted toy, who's just possibly the worlds greatest Heavy Metal Guru.

Iron Maiden comes supplied with an A3 gloss poster to pin up alongside your prize rock memorabilia.

I love this Qee custom. One of the most original ideas I've seen in a while, whereas most would put the focus on the Qee, it's awesome that Lisa has transformed the Qee into a beautiful Russian Doll iron maiden/ coffin, and entombed within it, MegaSeth, her very own orignal sculpted figure! I think the details are exquisitely hand painted, the colorscheme apt for a heavy metal show without being too black, and her original sculpt looks of great quality too, something that wouldn't look amiss in an Amos toys line up.

The customs from the Heavy Metal Qee show are also on sale over at Daniel Perry's website fugi. And better yet, the proceeds of the sale goes to The Garden House Hospice. So not only do you get to snag an awesome custom from the show you also have the chance to help a great cause too!
