I might write a lot about designer toys, but some brands and artists slip past even me. So I did a double-take as I walked by Jellykoe's booth at NYCC. Their designs are super cute and every piece is affordable, despite being handmade. The company had paintings, plush, pillows, and custom toys at their booth. Vicariously peruse their adorable designs below!

P!Q took the short hike from Grand Central to the Javits and brought a bunch of custom Labbits. The gift shop put together a group show focusing on sweets and Kidrobot's newest blank platform toy. Participants included The Jelly Empire, Sugar Fueled, Brent Nolasco, Zard Apuya, Horrible Adorables, and more. They also had plenty of handmade Horrible Adorables' faux taxidermy pieces, DIY toys,...

I don't often venture outside of The Block. But when I do, I make my way to Bandai's booth. The past few years, the brand has been hyping up some big releases, showing prototypes from big properties like Voltron, Power Rangers / Super Sentai, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Well, this year we finally got our eyes on the final versions of these figures. And...

Sanrio had a booth at NYCC but it was pretty much empty. There were a few pieces under glass, such as their collaboration with Chocolate Skateboards, but didn't have anything for sale. Elsewhere at the con, the brand's collaboration with Sonic the Hedgehog was on full display, though. The long-awaited plushies of Sanrio characters wearing Sonic the Hedgehog ...

I spent way more money than I intended to at NYCC. And myplasticheart took the majority of it, mostly thanks to their wooden Androids from Andrew Bell. And while I was too late to pick up one of Rato Kim's Boxcats from MPH, I did snap plenty of photos of their offerings.

The New York native Tenacious Toys brought an utter buttload of customs to NYCC. Cat Atomic and UNCLE Studio dominated the booth, while minifigures from Touma and a variety of other artists ensured there were designer toys to buy across price points. Tenacious also organized the blindboxed Resin Is King Series 3, which included designs from The Jelly Empire, Argonaut Resins, Taylored...

While Toy Tokyo mostly clogged The Block with lines for the latest cookie cutter Fuko Pop! figure, they did at least bring four amazing pieces to NYCC. We revealed these kaiju-style TMNT figures back during New York Toy Fair, and they made a more public debut over the weekend. These four-foot Turtles are produced by Mindstyle and boast some very nice airbrush work. Due to space...

Seattle-based artist Emma SanCartier packed up her menagerie of ethereal beasts and brought them across the continent to NYCC. Her open edition resin pieces were accompanied by several new pieces. The coolest set on display was her Astral series. These creatures are unified by crystals and various shades of blue. It was pretty hard not to take one of these home!

It was raining cats and robots at the booth shared by The Jelly Empire and Argonaut Resins. Selina Briggs premiered her plush Jellybot, along with plenty of resin 'bots that have been turned into rings, hair clips, pins, and mini-figures, all in super vibrant colors. The toys were also accompanied by plenty of prints, comic books, and a coloring book.
